The "La Muralla" bullring in Brihuega witnessed one of the first major bullfighter competitions in the province of Guadalajara.

Known as "The Challenge," the six best exponents of Alcarrian free bullfighting competed against six of the most prominent national specialists, with Rubén Palomino from Cuenca ultimately emerging as the champion.
