The Grand Final of the 2006 Spanish Championship took place at the Las Ventas Bullring on the night of Saturday, July 22nd, and the 12 specialists who qualified in the previous semifinals faced off against bulls from Arturo Hidalgo.
The 2006 championship went to Jesús Sanz 'El Parri' from La Parrilla (Valladolid), with Jesús Benito 'El Chispa' finishing second. A thrilling final duel.
Also, the Teruel bullfighter Javier Romero 'El Tabi' took note, suffering a spectacular accident.
Qualifying bullfighter Adrián López 'Espuni' was unable to participate due to an accident, and the next highest scoring bullfighter from both qualifiers took his place.
