The 2006 Spanish Championship was held entirely in Madrid, at the Las Ventas Bullring. This first afternoon, June 24th, the 25 specialists faced bulls from Isaías and Tulio Vázquez.
The competition was won by Tomás Pérez, from San Sebastián de los Reyes, qualifying for the grand final alongside Tomás Gómez, 'Chichones', Antonio Orejón, 'El Tabi', and 'Espuni'.
